Lars "Wide Right" Anderson at the 2006 2nd
Annual Ash Creek Saloon Rib Eating Contest.
All contest proceeds went to the Southport, CT
Volunteer Fire Department
Lars "Wide Right" Anderson going for the gold. After failing to win but
receiving honorable mention, "Wide Right" said "I'll be back. This year I
trained 4 days a week for four hours a day. Next year I will train 5 days a
week for five hours a day. Winning this contest is my life...being the best
rib eater in the world is all that matters to me! I don't care about fame -
that's for the hot dog eating contest guys - I do it for me. I will regain my
title and then I will bring honor and glory back to the Anderson name."
Good luck to Lars next year and we all hope to see him in the winner's
circle again soon!
